A charismatic, charming, and highly skilled warrior. His surface-level lax nature makes him easy for any cat to get along with, however he has a fiery temper that will show itself from time to time. Although he builds himself up to be a model Marrowclan cat, a trait that gave him praise as a younger cat, he has always kept himself just out of his clanmates' reach. He will offer them advice, conversation, and assistance, but he has rarely extended an invitation to friendship.

Not to say he isn't a friendly face around camp. It's quite the opposite! Grizzlyroar has never turned down rowdy kits and apprentices climbing all over him. He takes pride in his work, and in his clan. His dedication to his clan is only second to his dedication to his littermate.

Grizzlyroar sees himself as his brother's guardian— he believes the two were destined for something greater, and will do anything to ensure the two of them have secured power. He hasn't forgotten the promise his brother made to him all those moons ago.

HISTORY .

Grizzly was born one of eight kits to Finchchirp and Manzanitathorn. He and his brother Campion were inseparable up until the death of their brother, Cedarpaw. Following the tragedy that had both boys shunned by their father, Grizzlypaw would watch their mother come to comfort her favored son, and Campion grew distant. Despite the feeling of utter betrayal gnawing at him, Grizzlypaw refused to resent his brother. Their mother was right. Campion, her golden boy, was meant for great things. Grizzly knew it in his heart better than anyone. And he knew that it was his destiny to be there at his side to protect him.

The two made up shortly after they became warriors and became close friends once again. Grizzlyroar readily welcomed his brother's presence in his life once more.

He stuck by Campion's side during his ascent to deputy, participating in talks of a coup d'etat against Greystar. Grizzlyroar was one of the cats most adamant about pushing for action, knowing leadership for his brother, and deputy for him, were just within reach. Campion promised him. They were going to lead side by side, as they were meant to.

Grizzlyroar trained in the Dark Forest, and was one of the cats who participated in the ritual to kill Astron. During the moons of his dark forest training he became exhausted and irritable, distancing himself from Campion in the process. During the battle, he fought on the side of the dark forest, though he hid it from the living cats. He killed Greystar as he attempted to flee from battle, however was caught by his sister Dayrunner. He killed her as well, then lied to Campionblaze about it.

It blindedsided him when Campionstar became leader and named another deputy. He was immensely jealous of Pheasantplume, he had plans of cornering and killing her, however she was killed during a border skirmish. He expected Campionstar to finally do right by him this time and make him deputy, but Hollownight was made deputy instead.

...Grizzlyroar knows Hollownight's secret, having been a member of the ritual to kill Astron. In return, she knows he was there as well. While Hollownight may have the higher ground for now, Grizzlyroar practices patience. It is only a matter of time.
