Ratpaw has always been a small sickly looking cat. Her dull colored fur is thin and not well suited for the rain, it comes off in ugly looking clumps when she sheds. They have white paws and dark circles under their eyes that make them see perpetually exhausted. Their tail is thin and whip-like.
Nothing is ever Ratpaw's fault. She is a careless, reckless cat, and finds every chance she can to shift blame elsewhere. She doesn’t think things through too well, often acting on impulse. Ratpaw couldn’t care less for Marrowclan or the cats in it. Ratstrike scoffs at pleasantries, politeness, and formality, she believes such things to be a waste of time.
They make rivals quickly, and do not seem to have any close friends. Ratpaw always wants to one-up the other warriors, and works tirelessly to try and become the best warrior in Marrowclan. She at least makes up for some of her attitude with her hard work and tenacity.
The only thing they hate more than their own clan mates is Barkclan and Zenithclan. They will jump at any chance of violence.
Ratkit was born Yewbranch, a permanent monarch, and Stormsong, a warrior of no real consequence. Her family was insignificant, two apprenticehood sweethearts who had fulfilled their dream of becoming a family, with their one daughter. Ratkit quickly grew to despise it. Even as a younger kit, Ratkit was restless, full of energy and hard to keep track of. She was sick several times before she was even an apprentice. She spent quite a bit of time in the oracle den, much to her hatred. Her parent’s did not care much, they only had eyes for each other, Ratkit was little more than an accessory to their relationship.
They could not have been happier than when they were apprenticed, finally having somewhere to focus their energy. Ratpaw took whatever opportunity she could to join border and hunting patrols. She was involved at the battle with Barkclan at Star's Fall— a piece of territory she could not care less of Marrowclan lost— and proved to be a nasty and dishonorable fighter.
